Linton Zoo

Linton Zoo opened in 1972 by a family's love and concern for wildlife in the world. Since opening back in 1972 Linton Zoo has grown into an impressive exotic zoo that covers 18 acres. The zoo is as committed now to conservation as it was back then.

With Linton Zoo being only 15 minutes away from where one of our mini bosses live we thought we would go and pay Linton Zoo a visit and show our support.

What Animals Are At Linton Zoo

At Linton Zoo there were a selection of wonderful animals for our mini bosses to see and learn about. Such as African lions, tigers, beautiful snow leopards, zebras and kangaroos, rather cute tortoises, lemurs, macaws, owls, snakes, and even tarantulas. Along with so much more to explore and learn about throughout the 18 acres.

Every year new animals are said to arrive and join the beautiful animals at Linton Zoo.

Fun For All The Family

Linton Zoo is a great place for all the family to visit. We found that most (not all) areas were pushchair and even wheelchair friendly.

Our grandsons love dinosaurs and they really enjoyed looking at the collection of dinosaurs. Not only that, they were able to learn about how they became extinct.

The mini bosses also enjoyed playing in the outdoor play area after seeing all the beautiful and well looked after animals.

Bringing A Picnic

There is a cafe serving a selection of food and drinks, which you can eat in or take away. You are also allowed to bring your own picnic to enjoy in the designated picnic areas around the zoo and enjoy the beautiful and well-maintained gardens.

A few pointers for your visit:
  • Don't forget your boots as it can get muddy.

  • No dogs are allowed, not even guide dogs or assistant dogs.

  • Check out annual pass prices and deals, as you could save yourself some money on other visits.
