How To Make Cardboard Stencils

What you will need to make the cardboard stencils are:
  • Cardboard, as big or as small as you wish to use.

  • Scissors

  • Pen or pencil

  • Water spray bottle filled with water

Designing your stencils:
  • Find yourself some old cardboard.

  • Grab a pen or pencil, then get your children to draw themselves some images or shapes that they wish to use.

  • Once the designs are drawn, cut them out.

  • Once cut out, your cardboard stencils are then ready to use.

How To Use Cardboard Stencils

Mini boss Dylan had great fun with his cardboard stencils. Once he had finished designing what shapes he wanted to use, he then went outside to have fun with them.

You simply lay your stencils on the ground and then spray the stencil with water, ensuring you have covered the cut-out area with loads of water.

Re-use And Re-Purpose

This is a fantastic way to re-purpose old cardboard boxes when the kids are bored. It is also a great way to get their creative cap on. Minis boss Dylan will be 4 years old on a few weeks time and he absolutely loved this idea.

Learning Made fun

This little craft afternoon helped mini boss Dylan learn his shapes and helped with his fine motor skills. This activity was just right for mini boss Dylan's attention span.

Creative play helps to express a child's imagination, curiosity and creativity.

Creative play can also be integrated with learning in such a fun way for the children.

If you do give mini boss Dylan's cardboard stencils a try we hope you have as much fun as Dylan did.
